STAN LOCKHART
Stan is a seasoned lobbyist with extensive experience in Utah's legislative process. He founded The Lockhart Group, a full-service lobbying firm, after a 19-year career at Microm Tech as a government affairs manager.
Stan emphasizes the importance of developing
a solid strategy for success and leverages his vast experience in politics- including his time in elected office, party leadership, and observing legislative processes closely. He encourages individuals and organizations to engage directly with their elected officials to effect change, promoting the idea that everyone can act as a lobbyist within the democratic framework.
JOHN ANGUS
John is a consultant at the Lockhart Group, primarily focusing on preparing technology companies to work effectively with the state of Utah.
John has extensive experience in technology and software from his 16-year tenure at the state, where he held various positions,
including interim CIO.
​His background allows him to bring a technical and business-focused perspective to his consulting work. His role at the firm includes: consulting for technology companies, bridging the gap between companies and government, problem-solving, and messaging and preparation.
AMY BAIRD
Amy's work at the Lockhart Group involves strategic communication, building relationships, and assisting clients in navigating government entities to address their concerns and initiate change.
Additionally, she is in control of the Firm's social media and website management, as
well as writing and campaigns.
Amy brings a unique perspective to the Group due to her background in education, having worked as an academic standards counselor, career counselor, lecturer, and being involved in various school and library boards.
Amy helps clients by devising strategic plans to solve their problems, sometimes involving working with legislators or other government organizations, depending on the issue.
